Plaintiffs Include Thousands of Children Who Have Developed Autism or ADHD As a Result of Baby Food Products Tainted with Heavy Metals
WASHINGTON, May 16, 2024 — Walsh Law PLLC, a boutique law firm actively involved in numerous mass tort litigation matters nationwide, announced today that William Smith and Alex Walsh have both been appointed to the 19-person Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the Baby Food Products Liability multidistrict litigation (MDL 3101).

In an order issued on May 16th, U.S. District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley of the Northern District of California noted that the court had received “a number of applicants” for the leadership positions in this MDL.

The Baby Food Products Liability MDL involves allegations that the defendants – Beech-Nut Nutrition Company, Campbell Soup Company, Gerber Products Company, Hain Celestial Group, Inc., Nurture, LLC, Plum PBC, Sprout Foods, Inc. and Walmart, Inc., — knew about the presence of elevated levels of heavy metals in their products, including arsenic, lead, cadmium and mercury, and children developed autism spectrum disorder and other conditions from consuming them.
